WELCOME TO THE JoyousWORD CHURCH

Many people are discovering the joy of loving and serving both God and each another in our church here in the great city of Kampala. This happens not only in our celebration services in the JoyousWORD church in at the Jeliza Building on Bombo Road on Sundays, but also in the weekday cell meetings in homes, cafes, schools and places of work.
We hope that you enjoy our website and ask you to pay special attention to our online media section. Not only can you watch and listen to sermons of the past through our archive, but also watch “live” our Sunday services at 11 am every Sunday.
With over so many different nationalities worshiping at the JoyousWORD church, we have many friends and family all over the world who remain very dear to us. We hope that in some way our ministry can be a blessing and encouragement to you as you seek to serve the Lord in this current generation.

We are a cell based church on a mission to win souls, draw believers into discipleship and equip them to be disciples makers, who are true followers of Christ and who want to grow as individuals and in the community to become like Christ.

OUR BELIEFS
We believe that the Bible is God's final revelation and constitutes our all sufficient rule of faith and practice. This church shall accept, stand by, act upon and adhere to the fundamental belief as outlined hereunder. The fundamental truths, to which every member of this Church shall subscribe and contrary to which no teaching or preaching shall be permittedin the Church or any of its ministries are and shall be as follows:
The Holy Bible
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that non may add thereto or take there from except at their peril. 2 Timothy 3:15; 16:1; Peter 2:2
The Trinity
There is only on God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.
God's Word
The Bible is God's word to us to lead us to Himself and to guide our lives. It is without error and is the Authority on which we base our faith, conduct and teachings.
The Savior
Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to this earth as Savior of the world.
The Holy Spirit
Through His Holy Spirit, God lives in and through us now.
God Creation
Nothing in creation "just happened". God created all things by His word and sustains all things and He is the final authority in every situation.
Salvation in Christ
Jesus died on the cross, shed His blood for our sins and rose again on the third day. Salvation is found by placing our faith in what Jesus did for us on the cross.
The Package of Salvation
Salvation is a total Package which includes your health, wealth, holiness, marital bliss and that salvation is not an end, but the means to an end.
We are Overcomers
As children of God, we are overcomers, and more than conquerors and God intends for each of us to experience the abundant life He has in store for us.
Baptism of The Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit evidenced by the speaking of other tongues.
Baptism by Water
We believe in the baptism of water by immersion signifying the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus.
The Efficacy of Prayer
We believe in the power and efficiency of prayer.
The Holy Communion
We believe in the Holy Communion signifying the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Ministry of Angels
We believe in the ministry of angles as servant s of the heirs of salvation.
The Second Coming
We believe in the second coming of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Heaven and Hell
Heaven and hell are real places. Death is beginning, not an end.
DISCIPLESHIP
We believe that everyone has been and must be a disciple of Christ and a disciple maker.
